Terms of Service

DevConverter provides a collection of free, browser-based developer utility tools including encoding converters, format transformers, hash generators, and related tools. All conversion and processing is performed locally within your browser. No user data is transmitted to our servers as part of the tool functionality.

The Service is provided free of charge and is supported by advertising revenue. We reserve the right to add, modify, or remove tools at any time without notice.

By using the Service, you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent and warrant that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

You may use the Service for any lawful purpose, including personal, educational, and commercial use. Specifically, you may:

• Use any tool on the site freely and without restriction
• Share links to specific tool pages
• Use the output of any tool in your own projects
• Embed or reference the tools in your own documentation

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Engage in any activity that violates applicable laws or regulations, including computer fraud, intellectual property infringement, or privacy laws
• Attempt to circumvent, disable, or interfere with the security features of the Service or any related systems
• Use automated means (scrapers, bots, crawlers) to access or reproduce the Service’s content in bulk for the purpose of creating a competing service
• Misrepresent the source of the Service or pass it off as your own product
• Use the Service in any way that could damage, overload, or impair its operation or the servers and networks connected to it

The Service, including its design, code, content, tool descriptions, and all materials appearing on the website, are owned by or licensed to DevConverter and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

You retain full ownership of any data you enter into the tools. Since processing occurs locally in your browser and we do not receive your data, we make no claim whatsoever over your input or the converted output.

Open-source libraries used in this project are subject to their respective licenses. Use of these libraries is governed by their own terms, not these Terms.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any tool output. Tool results should be verified independently before use in production systems, security-critical applications, or any context where errors could cause harm.

In particular, hash outputs, encoded values, and converted data produced by this Service should be validated against authoritative implementations before use in security or compliance contexts.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL DEVCONVERTER, ITS OPERATORS, OR CONTRIBUTORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim. Since the Service is provided free of charge, this limit is zero.

The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services. These links are provided for your convenience and do not constitute an endorsement. We have no control over the content, privacy practices, or terms of third-party sites and accept no responsibility for them.

The Service displays advertisements served by Google AdSense. Your interaction with those advertisements is governed by Google’s own terms of service and privacy policy, not these Terms.

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please review it to understand our practices regarding any information that may be collected.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part of it) at any time with or without notice. We also reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be indicated by an updated “Last updated” date at the top of this page.

Any disputes arising under these Terms will be resolved through good-faith negotiation before resorting to formal legal proceedings.
